The SURFCOM NEX 031 is a combined contour and roughness measuring machine with two sensors and a high straightness accuracy in the X axis, enabling it to perform diverse measuring jobs precisely and effectively. Manually changing the high-resolution surface sensor or the precise contact sensor ensures that all current parameters are captured.

The SURCOME NEX 031 features a modular design and is available with three different column heights. The linear drive of the SURFCOM NEX 031 works significantly more quickly and precisely than a traditional linear drive and does not produce any vibrations. The SURFCOM NEX 031 measuring table is available in different two sizes and is made of extremely stable granite. The SURFCOM NEX 031 can also be subsequently upgraded at any time. CNC axes, a 3D topography packet and an optical white light sensor can be added quickly and easily on-site.

The SURFCOM NEX 031 contour and roughness measuring station allows you to measure the minuscule radii, bevels, angles cut-ins and length tolerances. Manually configuring the appropriate sensor ensures the precise capture of all current surface and contour parameters. The entire traversing length of 100 mm or 200 mm is available.

Software for surface, contour and form ACCTee PRO For surface, contour and form measurements, there is one software that covers all of these: ACCTee PRO. A menu-guided user interface, automatic functions, wizards and help functions make it particularly easy for beginners and experts to use ACCTee PRO.

One software, one report ACCTee PRO software features a number of software tools for checking surface parameters, contours and form features. All data for a workpiece are entered into the same document: measurement data, measuring conditions, analysis conditions, the CNC measuring program and the report layout. This makes it possible to export all relevant measurement data and graphics, e.g. roughness and contour data, in one report.

Automation

Measuring cells in production should be easy to fit. The operator places the specimen in the machine, selects a photo for the part or scans an item code and presses a button to start the measurement. Now SURFCOM takes over with the ACCTee PRO software and the CNC modules. They allow the automation of measuring runs in SURFCOM and CONTOURECORD systems. The automation system is comprised of three modules: a positioning table in the Y direction, a horizontally arranged rotary table and a vertically arranged rotary table. All modules can be combined and can be operated with two or four-axis control depending on the requirements. Programming can be done conveniently by the teach-in learning mode using the ACCTee PRO measurement software. The CNC modules move the workpiece and the measuring elements to be measured to the touch probe. Operator intervention is reduced to starting the measuring run. Zeiss can project, simulate and produce the individual workpiece fixtures for a fully automatic SURFCOM measuring instrument for you. On request, the entire measuring instrument can be acquired as a turn-key solution including projection and programming.

Measure more accurately with play-free linear drive To increase the resolution of the measuring sensor alone is a simple task. But without optimizing the structure and drive that moves the sensor, a simple increase in resolution is no improvement. Conventional drives are composed of a spindle, motor and linear encoder. Due to the nature of the system, there is a certain play that has a negative effect each time the system starts up and brakes, and in the reciprocating motion that is required for 3D topography analysis. The linear drive is constructed play-free. This allows high measurement speeds – exactly in the reciprocating motion in 3D topography analysis. Compared to other systems, the pre-travel can be reduced by up to 60% – this produces enormous benefits with narrow tolerances – even for short possible measurement distances. The play-free linear drive also allows outstanding positioning accuracy that is also required for topography analysis.

Seven times faster than spindle drives The patented linear drive enables maximum measuring speeds from 0.02 – 60 mm/s. For topography measurements, SURFCOM completes measuring jobs up to seven times faster than systems with a spindle drive. This increases the measurement throughput and lowers the risk of interfering variables such as temperature drift.
